Today we rode through Salamonie State Forest on our motorcycles. I love this ride and can’t wait to get back there for fall. My camera was running low on batteries, I think, because it usually takes much better video. I hope to go back when the trees turn color and video it again. It is such a beautiful place and one of my favorite places to go for nature study with students.
The twins went with us. They absolutely LOVE riding behind their Mom and Dad on their motorcycles. It is such good proprioceptive input, and it really calms them down a LOT. We rode for an hour, went to lunch at Applebee’s (they polished off slider burgers, fries and half of my meal) and then we rode an hour home. When we got home they sat on the couch in the living and conked out.
Them asleep and calm is almost my favorite part of riding! It is sooo rare.
